Exchanging wedding rings is a very old tradition that has its roots several thousand years back. Records show that Egyptians used rings in wedding ceremony as a symbol of love. Since then on you can find this tradition in almost all of the communities. Wedding rings are generally wear in the left finger as it is believed that blood from that finger directly reaches the heart. Decorously exchanging wedding rings and taking vows as a part of ceremony but further strengthens the bond between the pair.
